Today in our class we had fun and learned and experienced much. We dissected lillies to learn about the parts of the flowers. To start with the lillies smelled wonderful so that was a bonus. Then we found each part of the flower which included the petals, the sepal, the stamen with the anther and filament, the stigma, the pollen which definitely stains anything that touches it, and the ovary and ovule. Then we dissected the ovule to see the little seeds inside. Then we labeled and taped each part to another piece of paper. Everyone worked hard and had fun.
