Worms, Worms, Worms

Master Gardener Volunteer Conny Young teaches the YEP! students about worm composting.

Miss Conny is an expert worm farmer who loves to take her portable, home-made worm bin on the road to teach kids about the fascinating things that worms do.

After we learned about the species of worms that make compost--eisenia foetida, the red wiggler--we ate rhubarb pie made by Master Gardener Volunteer Carol Nykos.  The pie was also red and even a little bit wiggly, but did not taste like worms.
